GECUBE announced its latest ATI HD3450 and HD3650 graphics solution that comply to the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) DisplayPort standard.

GECUBE HD3450 and HD 3650 series offers the next generation of PC display connection technology, the DisplayPort interface to delivers twice the output capacity of DVI, moving the industry forward to a new generation of brilliant display capabilities.

DisplayPort allows you to connect to any display from a multi-mode capable PC – from legacy CRT monitors to emerging super-sleek displays. From a single connector in your DisplayPort , for instance, you will be able to connect to the DVI port in your desktop display, a VGA port on your CRT or an HDMI port in a high definition display.

In addition to greater resolution up to 2560 x 1600, DisplayPort also supports greater color depths and higher refresh rates for large screen display. Color depth and refresh rate are becoming increasingly important in delivering stunning image quality with the latest display technologies delivering a wide variety of eye popping high definition content including games, movies and advanced applications yet to be created.

The DisplayPort series comes with 512MB of DDR2 memory for the HD3450 series and up to 1GB of DDR2 memory for the HD3650 series. This DisplayPort graphics series supports full HDCP/HDMI 1080p, Blu-Ray and the latest UVD (Unified Video Decoder) technology. Both series support the latest DirectX 10.1 technology. It offers 32-bit floating point filtering support, and the addition of Geometry Shader technology in particular accelerates the processing of 3D effects such as bump mapping. Graphics data can now be cycled within the graphics card itself, greatly improving the realism of particles and shadows. DX10.1 also incorporates Shader Model 4.1 video optimization technology, allowing the HD3650 and HD3450 graphics series to offer a more lifelike, high-quality video experience while bringing gamers into a whole new world for visual effects.

AMD extend its visual computing leadership for the first availability of its graphics products conform to the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) first DisplayPort™ certification. The certification has been awarded to the ATI Radeon™ HD 3450, ATI Radeon™ HD 3650 graphics products series, ATI FireMV™ 2260 graphics products and the AMD 780G integrated graphics chipset as released.
