The mixed storage design of the U115 Hybrid offers you the pick of a 8GB or 16GB SSD matched to a 120GB or 160GB 2.5″ SATA hard disk. As the U115 Hybrid’s operating system is loaded on the SSD, boot times and performance are greatly increased. This also ensures that the operating system can run smoother as well. The SATA hard disk on the other hand provides you with all the storage you need.
An unusual feature is the ability to temporarily shut down the SATA hard disk in ECO mode. All data access and storage is handled by the SSD instead, allowing the U115 Hybrid to achieve up to 12 hours of battery life.
For portability, the U115 Hybrid not only offers up to 12 hours of endurance but is also quite light and thin. Even with the battery fitted, it weighs just about 1kg and the notebook itself is small as B5 paper (around 26cm x 18cm in size)! You can easily stow it away in any kind of bag. On top of it all, the U115 Hybrid also supports 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth wireless data transmission so you can connect to the rest of the world wherever you are.
The U115 Hybrid is equipped with a 10″ widescreen LCD display and based on Intel’s latest Menlow platform.
